Easy Tips For Natural
Stress
And Anxiety Relief
We live our lives at such a fast pace today that we
tend to forget about natural stress and anxiety relief, don't
we?
When we feel stressed the easier option is to grab a
'cure-all' pill or medicine. But since stress can destroy our
health and even kill, perhaps it's time to look at our response
more carefully. Good health and the freedom to enjoy life are
priceless, so why not stop and consider some natural stress and
anxiety relief techniques?
What About The
Doctor?
Few people are keen to consult a doctor. Grim news is
for others, thank you very much! And when I know I'm stressed,
I don't need to pay someone to tell me! These are common
reactions, but is there ever a good time to see your medical
practitioner about stress and anxiety relief?
Get along to the surgery if you've noticed a serious
disruption to your eating and/or sleeping habits. Arrange an
appointment when you feel life is no longer worth living or
you're so over-burdened you can't go on. If things are not
quite that bad, you should still visit if worry and anxiety are
ever-present. Heed any advice and take any prescribed
medicines, but it's also a great idea to find out how you can
tap into forms of natural stress and anxiety relief.
Lots of Lovely Fresh
Air!
Try this. The next time you are stressed, take a note of how
you breathe. (If you're too stressed to notice, arrange for
someone to observe you.) Panting, hyperventilating and
generally breathing faster than normal are common symptoms, but
they create a vicious cycle. The supply of oxygen to the lungs
and the brain is cut. This causes distress, so it increases the
anxiety.
When everything seems to be getting on top of you, tell
yourself you're going to get back in charge. You do this by
taking control of your breathing: regular, slow and full
breaths are the order of the day - and this is one of the best
forms of natural stress and anxiety relief. Your heart rate and
blood pressure will normalize and straight away you'll
experience a feeling of well-being. This will give you the
confidence to move forward.
Essential
Oils
However, it's not always easy to start this deep breathing
for natural stress and anxiety relief. In that case, try this
tip. Open a bottle of essential oils. Put it to your nose and
sniff! The aroma of the oils will instantly help you to take
deeper breaths. This is an instinctive reaction.
Small bottles of essential oils are readily available in
stores. Lavender, tea tree and frankincense are frequently
used. Another is Bergamot, although it's not quite as popular.
These oils are not manufactured, they are extracted from fruit
and plants, and this organic quality makes them first-class
resources for natural stress and anxiety relief. Many people
say that just having that small bottle to hand gives them more
confidence!
